JEE Main 2018 online application form has already made available on the official website from December 01, 2017, and will be there till January 01, 2018. As the first step, you need to fill and submit the online application form (referred to as ‘IIT JEE Main Online Application Form’).

Tips to Save Your JEE Main 2018 Application Form from Cancellation
The very important task for you before filling and submitting the JEE Main online application form is to read and understand the information brochure very carefully. Many aspirants skip reading the brochure or misinterpret some points, which may lead to rejection of the form.
#1. Make sure that you fulfill all the eligibility criteria laid down for JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Some candidates do not meet the eligibility criteria and submit the online application. Following is the main eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2018:
#2. It is mandatory for you to fill the Aadhaar card number in the JEE Main 2018 application form. Applications without mentioning Aadhaar card number are subjection to rejection. You must further note that:
#3. Only the students from Assam, Jammu & Kashmir and Meghalaya are excluded from displaying Aadhaar card only if they opt to get the examination center in their states. In such a case, it is fine for them to provide with bank account number, ration card number, passport number or any other valid identity number issued by the government of India or state.

In case you do not have your Aadhaar card, firstly you must apply for the same through one of the Aadhaar enrollment centers and then provide the 14-digit Aadhaar Enrolment Id, including the slash “/” while filling the application form. The list of these enrollment centers in available at: uidai.gov.in. Then you must produce the Aadhaar card during the counselling. Please ensure that all the details mentioned in your Aadhaar card are absolutely correct. In case some information is outdated or incorrect, get the same corrected at the earlier by visiting the nearest Aadhaar card enrollment center.
#5. Ensure before submitting the form that you have entered correct information in each of the fields. At times candidates misinterpret the alignment of the field name and the associated text box for entering data. Additionally, there should not be any spelling mistake in various fields like name, address, etc. CBSE has all rights to cancel the application of candidates in whose application form the information is different from that in the supporting documents.
#6. You need to upload scanned images of your signature and the thumb impression (should be on plain white paper only) along with academic and personal details in the prescribed format only. You need to upload a passport size photo with the recommended size (in the JPEG format only). The dimension of the scanned photo should be 4.5 cm X 3.5 cm, and the scanned file size should be between 4 and 40 KB only.
#7. Pay most attention while uploading the documents. You must verify that you have uploaded the correct documents (like education certificates and category certificates) in the prescribed format only. Make sure that the certificates are well readable on the screen when opened.
#8. You must pay the application fee only by credit/debit card or through e-challan generated while filling the online application form. In case of e-challan, the payment needs to be made only in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank in cash. E-challan from any other bank will surely be rejected. The fee submitted by any other mode (like demand draft etc.) will also be rejected.
#9. Once after making the payment through any permissible mode, make sure that the associated acknowledgement page is appearing on the official website for you to take print. If the acknowledge page is not appearing, then the payment procedure is probably canceled. Your payment will be refunded in 7-8 business days in such a case. Do not forget to repeat the payment process preferably through any other mode and ensure that the acknowledgement page is displayed.
