If you want to become a great Muay Thai fighter, then you have a lot of work ahead of you but the joy will be in the journey to your destination and not in finally achieving the goal. If you have this kind of mentality, then you will indeed arrive at your goal sooner than you think and better yet, you will have a lot of joy along the way in getting to your goal. If you think about it, what would be a better goal for you to have in mind. Losing some or a lot of fat or becoming fit by doing one training regimen or the other or becoming a skilled Muay Thai fighter who can kick a** and at the same time look great and obviously be fit while doing it. I would guess you want the latter. If you could achieve this without having to stretch your imagination too far would it be a better choice for you. If this sounds like something that you would want, then below are some of the things that you should have in mind if you want to achieve this.
First and foremost, you need to make your goal clear in your mind for what you want to achieve. Beyond just becoming a Muay Thai fighter and joining a Muay Thai gym, you want to make sure that you have a clear goal that you want to achieve. For example, you want to gain a certain skill level, or maybe you want to change your lifestyle in a certain way and so on. What you want to do is to set one or two big goals and smaller goals that are milestones that will encourage you towards eventually achieving your main goals. Once you have these goals in place, you then need to simply focus on the immediate goals ahead of you.
One of the immediate goals ahead of you should be to immerse yourself in Muay Thai. One of the ways that you can do this is to of course to join a gym Bondi Junction that has great trainers and that can help you achieve your goals. A gym that has trainers with some practical experience in competitive Muay Thai can certainly do a lot for you as opposed to finding trainers with no real experience. Beyond such training, you also need to adjust your mentality so that you can better absorb what you are being taught. In other words, if you are able to, then you should try and learn as much about Muay Thai as you can so that you can have the right mentality and frame of mind about this ancient martial art. This can for example include learning the language, watching a few movies or just doing anything that will offer you some inspiration to be better at Muay Thai.
